These Runaways eventually bring down their parents and are then found by the Avengers. After several weeks, the Runaways all escape their foster homes and reunite as an odd sort of crime fighting family.
  • A Kryptonite meteor heads for Earth. President Lex Luthor attempts to blame Superman for the incoming meteor, and misuses government resources to attempt to capture and kill Superman. The disgraced Luthor goes into hiding, and is indicted in absentia. Pete Ross succeeds him as President.

Justice Leaguer Firestorm is killed by Shadow Thief during the investigation. The investigation also reveals the Justice League’s history of mind wiping its villains, in particular Doctor Light, who was more or less lobotomized by Zatanna.
